3 Uncommon Ways to Improve Your Productivity and Your Life
Number 2: Avoid multitasking.
A long time ago, a professor at the University of Salamanca, where I studied industrial engineering, taught me a couple of unorthodox lessons for live a happy life.
The first of them was “The Law of Emotional Thermodynamics.”
1st Law of Emotional Thermodynamics
The difference between the energy they take from you
and the energy they give you is the energy you will have left.
That is why if someone takes more energy from you than others give you
whether it is a partner, a friend, or a family member set limits if you don’t want to end up badly.
The second was a more general thought. The professor stated that the secret of a happy life is work.
According to his thesis, the day is divided into three eight-hour periods.
8 hours working + 8 hours of personal life + 8 hours sleeping = full-day.
The most important part of the day is the first: the eight working hours.
If your work doesn´t please you, you will not enjoy the eight hours of leisure, nor will you sleep well.
