The problem is that there are two types of primates. Chimpanzees and bonobos. Chimpanzees solve everything in a violent way as you have explained. And bonobos do it by cooperating with each other and with loving gestures.
Of course, the bonobo's nature is the one that can save us. But it is that same non-violent nature that paradoxically prevents us from changing things. Because chimpanzees will always use force while we bonobos will not.
Good people are a solution because they are cooperative, but because they avoid playing dirty, bad people take advantage and subjugate us. And that's why we're screwed.
