How nice it would be to regain that connection with the land, and live like our ancestors.

Our land, your land
Divided, conquered
Invaded, destroyed
Senseless destruction
Ugly greed for territory 
Demolished houses and broken lives
Home no longer safe
Just a feeling, a distant memory
Painful longing to go back
But no longer an option for a refugee
Just praying for a better tomorrow
Craving for a safe haven
Lonely, lost 
In a foreign territory
Displaced and unwelcomed
The accusing stares hostile
Where is home?
Gone
An illusion, a painful dream
Never to be reached
Always longing for
That magical place
No judgment, no pain
No disappointment
Belonging and living again 
Like a human being 
On earth
