Since 1918 to 1920, between 50-100 million (estimated) people died from the Spanish flu.

In 1920 there were about 1800 million people in the world.

If we extrapolate... now, we have 4 times more people so that 200-400 million people will end up dying if the mathematics holds true.

The issue is the speed with which it spreads, which can multiply the data even more.
