Of course.

I had a lot of anger issues.

I started counting how many times I got angry per day by writing it down in my notebook.

And I started trying to reduce it.

Nothing was working, until after reading Thich Nhat Hanh's work I realized that

1. Every day, no matter what I did, I was 100% sure that someone would annoy me.

2. The good days were the result not of people but of my attitude.

3. Happiness is only possible in the present.

4. If a person annoys me, I give them not only my joy but my freedom, because he hijacks my attention.

Reminding myself of point four every time someone annoyed me changed everything. I started to get less angry until it got to a point where I only get angry 2 out of every ten times someone touches my nose (more or less).

Because I realized that many times people contradict you on things they know you're right about, precisely for that reason, to get you mad and argue.

Ergo, what they want is to take away your joy in order to control you.

And not allowing it is the way to win arguments in my mind :-)

I hope you find this answer helpful and have a great day.
