This is a very bad image for the United States. For better or worse, we entrust our security to the United States, offering them space for their bases all over the world.

I live in Spain, 30 km from my house they had the Torrejon airbase. And like this example, there are hundreds around the world.

But it seems that we cannot count on the United States. What will the power-hungry nations think after seeing this show of weakness, abandoning all the Afghan people to their fate?

What will China do about Taiwan?

What will Japan do? Since it refused to enter into wars, and now it will surely see that it will have to defend itself because it cannot rely on unreliable allies.

What will the terrorist cells and lone wolves sympathetic to the Taliban and living in Europe do now that they perceive the withdrawal as a victory? They may be emboldened to sow terror again in the streets of the first world.

This is a terrible geopolitical mistake. Because it indicates weakness, and the dictatorships of the world will seize the moment to begin their expansion campaigns.
